Disaster Response Mental Health Team
We are coordinating teams of therapists supported by other mental health professionals to standby at the West Central Community Center every day through June 1.
These teams will be visiting with individuals and families who express a mental health need, who are emotionally distraught, or who have otherwise identified mental health needs. Caseworkers are on-site to coordinate follow-up resources if they are needed. Our mental health teams need to be ready to offer a listening ear and hold space for processing recent trauma.
We are seeking at least one licensed therapist on each shift supported by other credentialed mental health professionals or grad students/interns. If you do not have an appropriate credential or license but would like to volunteer, please visit www.littlerock.gov/volunteer.
*The time slots each day are 9:00AM to 12:00PM, 11:00AM to 2:00PM, 2:00PM to 4:00PM, and 4:00PM to 6:00PM. Please be sure to click the plus sign next to the date(s) you would like to volunteer and 'Express Interest' for each date you are available. After you express interest, we will contact you to schedule the specific time slots for the dates you are able to volunteer.*
